the reality....

I never really watch Oprah. I will on random occasions where its a big show....like the last one I watched, Oprah hosted Whitney Houston.

I watched it today, and the topic: Inside the mind of child molesters.

I pray today that God gives me the wisdom to teach my child the right and wrongs and to instill in them the confidence and knowledge to know what is okay in ANY relationship.

so its been awhile. I apologize.
Christmas was good.....got caught in the Omaha Blizzard. No thanks to that ever again.

Reese's first Christmas went well. I'm sure next year will be a lot more fun for missy.

I have recently been keeping myself busy making baby food. Its been pretty simple so far. And verrrrrrrrrrry cost effective. Since I've been staying home with the munchkin I've been finding myself almost making it a game to see how much money I can save. Call me crazy, but if there is a way to save a dime, I'll find it.
Reese has been slowly adjusting to 'real' food....she's starting to get the hang of it. She'll open her mouth for the food, and just yesterday, Dad was drinking some iced tea and when he put the cup up to her mouth, she opened. Not sure what that was about, but nonetheless, she knows her food!
I'm not too full of wit today, so I'll keep this one short.
*On a side note, my camera is acting up, so when I get the patience to go in and reprogram it, I will be sure to update with a lot more photos.

Weekend 'O' Fun

I think I'm going to learn very quickly that the only success I will have with this is if I commit to doing this after bedtime......Reese's bedtime that is.

Troy, Reese, and I went to Steamboat Springs this weekend with his family and enjoyed a weekend of snowboarding, ice skating, tubing, and hot cocoa and snow. We had a lot of interaction with Santa (so much so, that an older kid would be asking how Santa could travel that fast.....)



Troy and I were able to hit the slopes and do some snowboarding. I was only good for a few hours, but I enjoyed myself while Reese spend some time with Grandma Karen. :)
It was definitely a challenge traveling with a 4 month old, but in the end....Troy and I were so excited to be taking our first vacation as a family.





I just couldn't resist posting this next picture.......she's just too dang cute!

This is going to be my attempt at allowing everyone to see pictures, updates, videos of miss party pants. Clearly she isn't the partier she is now in this picture above.....but she's grown up since then. This was taken when she was 4 days old.

Here is a picture when she was 2 months old. Trying to be all festive for Halloween. :)

Here she is at 3 months. Suuuuuuch a cutie. I'm a little partial to this picture because it reminds me of a some pictures of me as a baby. ;)

And this....this is the most recent. Pretty beautiful if you ask me. ;)

Just last night we started her on cereal.....and she slept 10 1/2 hours. It was quite amazing. As of yesterday, she weighs 13lbs 13oz, and is 24.5 inches long. She's a tall skinny thing.......and according to the doctor, Reese will most likely be an early walker.

Here's to me keeping up on this and updating it on a regular basis. Stay tuned............
